Anystream® Announces Integration with Cisco Content Delivery System

Anystream Automates Service Providers’ Back Office Video Operations to Monetize Content

Dulles, VA — April 7, 2008 — Anystream®, a leader in automated digital media production and workflow solutions, today announced the integration of its Media Lifecycle Platform™ into the Cisco® Content Delivery System, a multiplatform streaming architecture designed to deliver live and on-demand digital media and differentiate services from content providers on the Internet. The integration results in a consolidated, scalable service delivery platform that acts as the infrastructure for service providers to turn online video into monetized revenue streams.

“By choosing Cisco, service providers have the premier network to deliver content in today’s three-screen world. Now, they need to extract more value from their content,” said Paul Sanchirico, vice president of engineering, service provider systems unit, Cisco. “With the integration of Anystream’s Media Lifecycle Platform and the Cisco industry-leading multiplatform streaming system, our customers also have the ability to produce, manage and monetize video across devices, platforms and business models.”

The integrated Anystream and Cisco solution is designed to allow service providers to exploit multiplatform revenue options by syndicating professional and user-generated video through advertising models and subscription-based services across any device.

“As new monetization strategies unfold, automating and simplifying the often cumbersome process surrounding the production and delivery of online video has become a necessity,” said Colin Dixon, broadband media practice manager of The Diffusion Group. “With this product offering, Cisco and Anystream are providing a new, innovative end-to-end solution by matching Anystream’s heritage in video production and management with Cisco’s industry-leading IPTV and cable solutions under one umbrella. ”

Service providers take advantage of the Cisco Content Delivery System to provide their own content delivery services, gaining visibility and control over their content from the point of production through to the point of access by the consumer. The Anystream Media Lifecycle Platform serves as the production, workflow management and authentication engine integrated into the Cisco solution. The Cisco Content Delivery System enables carriers to provide differentiated content services to existing customers and future new markets, all while under the carrier’s control in distributed network architectures. The Cisco multiplatform streaming system creates new market opportunities with live and on-demand content, above and beyond those available from traditional MPEG video services, which presently are limited to the set-top box.

“We’re now able to deliver to market a solution to help service providers around the world generate revenue from multiplatform video,” said Russell Zack, vice president of product management for Anystream. “The deployment of such a joint Anystream and Cisco solution gives customers a foundation for launching advanced video services for years to come. ”
